The Carthage College Environmental Science Department is excited to welcome the Carthage College Omega Chapter of Kappa Alpha Omicron, an Environmental Honors Society affiliated with the Interdisciplinary Environmental Association

An induction ceremony was held over Google Meet on Friday, May 15 for the following new members:

Kappa Alpha Omicron is a professional society designed to offer college and university students and faculty academic support and a web of networks across the globe in the growing field of interdisciplinary environmental sciences. Throughout the year, KAO members engage in on-campus and community projects and thoughtfully address critical environmental issues while incorporating multidisciplinary attitudes. Chapters are also strongly encouraged to conduct research during the academic year and present as a group at the annual International Interdisciplinary Conference on the Environment.
