We are very grateful that a large number of students have participated in the online survey on their spiritual self-care. The gift cards for the first 50 participants have already been sent out. This online survey will be closed on Friday, July 31. If you are still interested in participating in the survey, please complete it before Friday.

Purpose and procedure of the survey

The survey serves as an assessment on Carthage students’ spiritual self-care and needs. The purpose of the survey is to better understand how students practice spiritual and religious self-care and how the College can support students’ spiritual needs and practice. It will take you about 15-30 minutes to complete the survey questionnaire. There will be questions about your religiosity/spirituality and how you practice spiritual self-care. There will also be questions on how use of the arts (i.e. painting, drawing, listening to or playing music, attending art galleries, etc.) may contribute to spiritual and religious self-care, and also some questions regarding how helpful you find resources for spiritual and religious self-care on campus.

How to participate

Before you participate in the survey, please make sure to carefully read through the consent statement and discuss any concerns or questions with the researchers, who can be reached at ttian@carthage.edu (Professor Tian Tian) or at shyde@carthage.edu (Sophie Hyde ’21).

After you carefully read the consent statement, you can complete the survey.

Thank you for your interest and participation in this research!
