Lauren Hansen ’10 has been named Director of Alumni and Parent Programs at Carthage, effective July 1, 2014.

Lauren joined the Carthage staff in February 2011 as Assistant Director of Alumni and Parent Programs. A communication and digital media major, Lauren was active on The Current as a student, serving as executive editor and business manager. She also served as president of Student Government and helped establish a Carthage chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, an honorary communications fraternity. Members of the faculty selected Lauren as a recipient of the annual College Leadership Award in 2010.

For the past three years, Lauren has overseen the College’s outreach programs for alumni and current parents.

“Lauren never fails to inspire; as the leader of Carthage’s alumni and parent relations program, her enthusiasm, creativity, and heartfelt dedication are truly remarkable,” said Brad Andrews, senior vice president for Institutional Advancement.

In her work Lauren has introduced a student alumni association, significantly increased the number and types of outreach events the College offers, incorporated all forms of social media into our programming, and found new ways to engage the College’s alumni, parents and friends.

Please join us in congratulating Lauren on this well-deserved recognition of her work and dedication to Carthage.
