Josh Grimm ’13, a recent graduate with a double major in Classics and Great Ideas, will have his classics senior thesis published in Aisthesis, Stanford University’s peer-reviewed undergraduate journal of Classical Studies. His thesis, titled “Deep-Flowing: Rivers and the Obstacles to Heroic Aspirations in the Iliad,” will appear in the Spring 2014 issue.

Josh’s thesis grew out of research he undertook with Prof. Ben DeSmidt in the summer of 2012 as part of the SURE program. After graduation, Josh continued to work on revisions to his thesis with his advisors, Prof. DeSmidt and Prof. Joseph McAlhany, until the final version was successfully submitted for publication. Congratulations, Josh!
