Dear faculty:

On behalf of the Chicago Advisory Committee, I am pleased to invite course proposals for the spring 2015 semester of Carthage in Chicago. Please use the following form to submit your course by August 22: http://www.carthage.edu/chicago/faculty/

The Chicago Advisory Group will meet in late August to make recommendations to the Provost, who will select the final spring courses. If a new course is proposed, it must be submitted and approved through the regular curricular channels, which would typically start at your first department meeting in September.

Preference is given to courses that take advantage of Chicago resources, while also fulfilling broad distribution requirements like Carthage Symposium, Global Heritage, and Writing Intensive.

The courses that were selected for fall 2014 can be found here: http://www.carthage.edu/chicago/courses/fall/2014/

We are very excited to see the program come together this fall. Participants have secured a number of high-quality internships that will surely help them get a jump start on their post-graduate careers. Internship sites include The Onion, Remy Bumppo Theatre, Pritzker Military Museum and Library, 8th Light Inc, StageBloc, Satori Energy, and Metra. Additionally, there are over 20 other organizations that have committed to providing internships to future Carthage in Chicago participants.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

With best wishes,
Tom
