Have you taken an Intellectual Foundations course during the past two semesters (spring 2020 or fall 2020)? Have you written a paper that you are particularly proud of for one of the classes? Consider submitting your paper to the Intellectual Foundations scholarship contest!

In cooperation with Vice President for Enrollment Nick Mulvey and Director of Intellectual Foundations Paul Ulrich, we are pleased to announce that a number of Intellectual Foundations scholarships — individual awards up to $2,500 — will be awarded for the 2021-2022 academic year.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, Feb. 1.

Any student who is in good academic standing, will be enrolled full-time during the 2021-22 academic year, and who was enrolled in any Intellectual Foundations course during spring 2020 or fall 2020 may enter by submitting an assigned essay written for Intellectual Foundations.

Paper instructions are located on bulletin boards around Lentz Hall and the David A. Straz Jr. Center.

If you have any questions, please send an email to Prof. Paul Ulrich at pulrich@carthage.edu.
