Melanie Nyhof, assistant professor of psychological science, gave an invited talk at the annual conference for the Society of Personality and Social Psychology, as part of the Psychology of Religion and Spirituality Preconference session.

Prof. Nyhof’s talk was titled “Religious Pluralism in Indonesia: Belief Disagreements and Syncretism” and focused on the research she completed in Indonesia on children’s god concept, belief disagreements, and funeral rituals.

Since joining the Carthage faculty, Prof. Nyhof has established an active research lab involving Carthage students in her research on children’s god concepts and the developmental psychology of religion.
