Writer of the Week: Submit fine arts papers by Friday
Attention all student writers! Do you have a particular piece of writing that you are especially proud of? The Brainard Writing Center is looking to feature a student’s work each week in its new Writer of the Week program.
Each week, the Writing Center will highlight a different category of writing and ask for your best submissions in that category, from creative writing to scientific reporting. After submissions are closed, a team of writing fellows will read each piece and select one writer to be featured on the Writing Center blog. The student’s writing will be published along with a short bio and a description of their work. Each featured writer will also receive their choice of any eBook under $15.
This week’s category
We’re looking for fine arts papers! We welcome any papers that are written about a topic in the fine arts, such as visual art, music, dance, or theatre. It doesn’t have to be from this year; any paper you’ve written while at Carthage is eligible.
Submissions are due by Friday, March 26, and the selected writer will be notified via email no later than Tuesday, March 30.
This program is open to all student writers at Carthage, and students from all backgrounds and academic disciplines are encouraged to submit their best works. The Writing Center is looking forward to hearing from you!
