APACC Fundraiser to support Stop AAPI HateOn March 16, eight people were killed and one was seriously injured during a mass shooting in Atlanta, Ga. Of those eight people, six were of Asian descent. Following the already heightened levels of racism against the Asian American and Pacific Islander community at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, this incident has opened the eyes of many and affected the lives of many more.

In response, the Asian Pacific American Coalition of Carthage (APACC) is holding a fundraiser to support the nonprofit organization Stop AAPI Hate. We are selling APACC branded masks for $5 and hoodies for $8.

Place your order now through Wednesday, April 7

Stop AAPI Hate is an organization that tracks and responds to incidents of hate, violence, harassment, discrimination, shunning, and child bullying against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States. All proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated through their website.
