Is your internship award-winning?
Apply for the Smeds Executive Internship Award
Mr. Smeds, former president of Kraft Foods and distinguished Carthage Trustee Emeritus, believes strongly in the cultivation of future leaders through experiential learning and mentorship. The Smeds award recognizes students who demonstrate exemplary performance and leadership in an internship experience.
Whether you are working directly under the mentorship of executives or taking on impactful and valuable responsibilities for your organization, consider applying for this year’s program. Award recipients will participate in a capstone experience in Sept. 2021, at which point they will be coached to give a 10-minute boardroom-style presentation on their internship experience.
Upon completion of the capstone, students will be awarded $1,000 and featured in a student spotlight article. All majors and cohort years are encouraged to apply. There is a single application for all internship funding sources, so you only need to apply once to be considered.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Tom Wood, career specialist, at twood@carthage.edu.
