On April 17, under the tutelage of Professor Darwin Tsen and Target Language Expert (TLE) Linfeng Li, four Carthage Chinese majors participated in the annual Wisconsin Association of Chinese Language Teachers (WACLT) online Chinese speech competition. 

Competing in the non-heritage intermediate category, Mikolas Greguska ’24 and Laura Hung ’24 won second place, and Katherine Kiser ’23 won an honorary mention.

Competing in the non-heritage beginner category, James Ritchhart ’23 won an honorary mention.
