Photography and Film and New Media Program celebrates first graduating minors
The Photography and Film and New Media Program faculty celebrate its first group of students graduating with a film and new media minor. The 2020-21 academic year was the program’s inaugural year, launching minors in both film and new media.
Highlights from our 2021 graduating seniors
During spring 2021, film and new media minor, Tyler Meder ’21 interned with FACETS, a Chicago-based nonprofit that connects people to independent ideas through transformative film experiences. Tyler managed the FACET’s blog, writing film reviews and conducting interviews.
Discovery World in Milwaukee. She will teach filmmaking, claymation, and photography. “My experience as a film and new media minor has been nothing short of a dream. While my chosen thematic focus was screenwriting, I’m so grateful that the minor covered so many areas and angles. I learned so much about production and how all forms of art can intersect and enlighten the creative process. In the near future, I am hoping to get my master’s degree in museum studies and to use all the skills I’ve learned and apply them to a career in museum education and digital curation.”Mia Morton ’21 has been hired as a 2021 summer educator at
