Carthage is among the first regional consortium of institutions to commit to Moon Shot for Equity. The College, along with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Milwaukee Area Technical College, and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, has committed to eliminating institutional equity gaps by 2030.

In association with Moon Shot for Equity efforts, the College has partnered with Shaun Harper and the USC Race and Equity Center for a year-long series to engage faculty, staff, and students on issues related to race and equity. These eConvenings can be complementary to other initiatives across campus, including activities for the Equity and Inclusion Certificate Program, the ARISE program, annual DEI team activities, supplemental coursework, and personal growth and development.

Each session has the ability to hold 100 participants, and all sessions will be recorded and posted for viewing on-demand on the eConvening series website as well. The Intercultural Center will reach out to faculty, staff, and students as the year progresses to remind them of sessions that could be of particular interest.
