Erin Mortensen After almost 10 years of service to the Carthage community, Erin Mortensen, director of public safety, is moving on to a new opportunity as the director of security at MilliporeSigma Chemical Manufacturing. He will be leading the security teams at two facilities, one in Milwaukee, Wis. and one in Sheboygan, Wis.

Erin came to Carthage in 2011 as a campus security officer through Allied Universal Services. He was promoted to several different Allied Universal supervisor roles within the department during his time with the College, and in fall 2018, he was named the interim director of public safety as a Carthage employee. In spring 2019, he was named officially as the director of public safety.

The College is particularly appreciative of Erin’s service during the transition from campus security to public safety, focusing on rebranding and transitioning the mission of the department to be relational in nature. Erin has always been an outstanding partner and collaborator for events and has led his team to be great partners in managing COVID-19 quarantine and isolation protocols with our students this academic year.

On behalf of the Division of Student Affairs, we invite you to join us in sharing your personal notes of appreciation through e-mail or campus mail prior to his departure. Erin’s last day is Wednesday, May 26.
