Student-athletes: Sign up for a heart screening
Carthage Athletics is offering cardiac screenings for student-athletes at the beginning of the fall 2021 semester. During the screening, an electrocardiogram (ECG) records the electrical signals in the heart. It’s a common and painless test used to quickly detect heart problems and monitor heart health.
Carthage athletic training staff members will provide the screenings for a $20 fee. Screenings will take approximately 10-15 minutes and will be scheduled in the Jon Swift Sports Medicine Center (located in the TARC).
Once a student fills out the sign-up form, they will receive an email with additional information to schedule a screening soon after they arrive on campus.
