Help clean up the Pike River, which flows through Kenosha County and the Carthage campus, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18. Meet-up is at Shelter #4 in Petrifying Springs Park (5555 7th St, Kenosha, WI 53144).

The Pike River Clean-up is an annual event meant for all age and skill levels. Bring your friends and family out to walk along the river and pick up trash, tires, plastic, and debris from the river and surrounding banks. Our goal is to keep the Pike River enjoyable for all — kayakers, hikers, fishermen, runners, joggers, bikers, and environmentalists.

What to bring:

  • work shoes/knee-high boots
  • work gloves
  • work coveralls
  • hip boots or waders
  • reacher sticks or long steel rakes
  • canoes, kayaks, or flat bottom boats

Trash bags will be provided, along with snacks and water.

This event is led by the Kenosha Sportfishing and Conservation Association.
