Attend Prof. Greg Berg’s faculty recital: Celebrating 30 years at Carthage Sunday

Professor Gregory BergProfessor Gregory Berg will present his recital “I’d like to express my thanks: Celebrating 30 years of Singing and Teaching at Carthage” at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, in the A. F. Siebert Chapel.

Prof. Berg will perform repertoire that highlights his career at Carthage. Over his 30 years here, Prof. Berg has directed the Lincoln Chamber Singers, oversaw Carthage’s Opera Workshop, accompanied the Carthage Choir, and nurtured new talent as a voice teacher. During the recital, he will also celebrate his wedding anniversary by performing selections from “Annie Get Your Gun” with his wife, Kathy Berg ’84.

Outside of teaching at Carthage, Prof. Berg has been dedicated to the local community. From his morning radio show to his numerous directorships at the Racine Theatre Guild, Prof. Berg has dedicated his time and his talents to those around him. Additionally, he has composed multiple vocal works and operas, including the children’s opera “Birds of a Feather.”
