Work Work and More Work!

Let’s be honest, we all have those days when our alarm goes off at 7 a.m. and the thought of getting up and going to an 8 a.m. class is almost unimaginable. I can admit, I’m guilty of skipping a few early classes here and there. I’m sure others can relate.

However, as a CiC student, expectations are different. Every day my alarm rings at 6:30 a.m. and I get up to get ready for work–no second thoughts, and no excuses. I have to admit, after a long night of homework, an early morning wake up call can be brutal. However, I really appreciate this experience because it encourages me to manage time effectively, and prioritize. Ultimately, I want to be a successful intern and good student, and CiC gives me an opportune chance to prioritize these goals.

All in all, If I told you CiC was easy, I’d be lying. Getting up for work each morning, on top of balancing homework and a social life can be difficult. However, CiC gives myself and other students the unique opportunity to see our work make an impact on important companies all around the Chicago area. Watching ourselves grow as young professionals and impact the companies we work for makes all the hard work each and every one of us puts in worth it.
