Carthage vehicles sealed bid auction: Make your bid by Oct. 28

Dear colleagues,

Periodically, we have the ability to offer Carthage employees our surplus fleet vehicles for sale via a sealed bid auction. I am happy to announce the following surplus vehicles are now available for employee viewing:

  • 2010 Chrysler, four-door sedan, 132,740 miles
    Carthage has been the sole owner of this vehicle, which was used by the Office of Public Safety.
    (No minimum bid)
  • 2010 Dodge, four-door sedan, 105,000 miles
    Carthage has been the sole owner of this vehicle, which was used by the Office of Public Safety.
    (No minimum bid)
  • 2002 Chevy Astro, minivan, 77,872 miles
    Carthage was the second owner of this vehicle, which was used by physical plant employees for service on campus. (No minimum bid)
  • 2009 Ford Truck
    * This vehicle does not run
    Carthage was the second owner of this vehicle, which was used by physical plant employees for service on campus.
  • 2006 white van, 154,954 
    * This vehicle cannot be driven
    Carthage was the second owner of this vehicle, which was used by EVS staff for service on campus.

The vehicles are sold as is with no warranty. The vehicles are parked on the north side of the 14th Ave Lot. Please call Cory Varner (262-620-5882) or send him an email (cvarner1@carthage.edu) to make an appointment to view the vehicles.

The sealed bid auction is open to all Carthage employees and employees of Carthage vendors whose duty station is Carthage; (Sodexo, Allied Universal, and Barnes & Noble). Your sealed bid must contain your name, contact information, the identity of the vehicle you are bidding on and your purchase price. Please also identify the vehicle on the exterior of your envelope for which you are bidding.

Sealed bids will be accepted until 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28. Please mail or drop your bid to:

The highest bidder will be contacted. Successful bidders have until noon Monday Nov. 7 to present a certified check for the vehicle.
