Live from Carthage: Matthew Hougland Tickets to this event are sold out. Watch the concert through our livestream.

The Carthage Music Theatre Program invites you to enjoy the concert “Live from Carthage: Matthew Hougland” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, in the H. F. Johnson Recital Hall.

After living and working in New York, Professor Matthew Hougland took a position at Carthage as a music theatre specialist. Prof. Hougland has appeared in professional productions Off-Off Broadway, in New York workshops, and in the national tour of “Spamilton.” He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Anderson University and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from NYU Steinhardt.

Audience members at “Live from Carthage” will be brought on a journey through Prof. Hougland’s musical theatre life, from birth to Carthage. Songs, stories, laughter, and tears are included — all without NYC cabaret prices! This faculty recital is an opportunity to see who Prof. Hougland is as a human and a performer. Above all else, “Live from Carthage” will welcome us in and encourage us to share in the human experience of loving what we do. There is no doubt that Prof. Hougland will present an evening full of entertainment and love, so don’t wait too long to get your ticket!
