Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Psychological Science
The Carthage College Department of Psychological Science invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in clinical, counseling, health, or community psychology. The successful candidate will oversee our undergraduate fieldwork experience, maintaining connections with established field sites, identifying new candidate placement sites, and mentoring students in their field-based senior thesis projects. They will teach courses in their area of expertise and in abnormal psychology.
The Department of Psychological Science at Carthage College places strong emphasis on undergraduate research and psychology as a science. In addition to their teaching load (3 per term plus contributions to January Term), the successful candidate will maintain an active laboratory with student co-investigators. There is also an expectation to provide service to the department and the college.
Required Education and Experience:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in psychology by the position start-date (August 15th, 2022), some college-level teaching experience and the ability to involve undergraduates in research.
