Prof. Cheryl Petersen selected for nursing leadership program and nursing program evaluator
The Nursing Program is pleased to share the recent accomplishments of Professor Cheryl Petersen.
Prof. Petersen was selected to participate in the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Elevating Leaders in Academic Nursing (ELAN) program. This is a competitive national nursing leadership fellowship that provides attendees with focused assessment and leadership building activities, mentorship experiences, and opportunities to establish a national peer network for collegial support. The year-long fellowship enhances the executive leadership skills of individuals in nursing administrative and leadership positions.
Prof. Petersen was also chosen from over 500 national applicants to obtain training from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), the premier accrediting agency for baccalaureate and graduate nursing programs, as an on-site nursing program evaluator. Individuals chosen for this honor are trained to assess nursing programs around the country during the CCNE accreditation review process.
Congratulations to Prof. Petersen! The Nursing Program is grateful that you live your vocation with our team!
