But these are all lies: men have died from time to time
and worms have eaten them, but not for love.

The English Players is a group of amateur Shakespearians open to all members of the Carthage community. At this meeting, we will answer questions about the spring production of scenes from “As You Like It” and begin the casting process and selection of rehearsal times. There are no auditions, and everyone who wants to participate will be given a role. Parts are shared between multiple actors, allowing actors to do a single great scene or play multiple roles.

Those interested in helping with costumes, props, lights, etc. are also welcome!

Rehearsals will be arranged to meet the schedule of participants, and the performance will take place in April.

Please send an email to Professor Rick Meier ( if you have questions or cannot attend the meeting but wish to participate in The English Players.
