Women's Golf Ranked No. 22 in Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — The Carthage college women's golf team starts off their spring season ranked No. 22 in the Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll announced by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) on Friday. 

The Firebirds won their eighth College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) women's golf title and second under head coach Brandy Johnston during the fall season. 

The golf squad had three all-conference finishers as Adrienne Rohwedder earned medalist honors with a three-round score of 218 (75-71-72), becoming the first Firebird golfer to win the individual title since 2017. Rohwedder was joined by Kate Munro, who finished third carding a 222 (81-72-69) followed by Madi McCoy, who took fourth with a score of 223 (79-71-73). 

Carthage concluded the fall with a 13th place finish at the Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational. The Firebirds gear up for the spring season playing in the Texas Cup on March 19-20, starting at 8 a.m. 

The next Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll will be released on Friday, March 25.
