This production does not include any onstage violence, but there are graphic descriptions in the text, including the details of a body that has been ravaged by birds and dogs, as well as the description of a suicide. There is also a body brought on stage that has succumbed to self-inflicted injuries.

There is no call for moments of intimacy in any of the scenes. Hugs or a simple kiss may be explored between Haemon and Antigone, as well as embraces between Ismene and Antigone.
