Two environmental science majors joined Professor Sarah Rubinfeld recently at the 29th Annual Meeting of the Midwest chapter of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry.

Bethany Frandle ’22 and Bella Serrano ’23 presented a poster on “Plant Extraction Method Development for Consumer Product Chemicals,” sharing research they completed with Prof. Rubinfeld as part of the 2021 Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE). At the conclusion of the conference Bethany and Bella were awarded an Honorable Mention (second place) for Best Student Poster, an impressive achievement in a field of primarily graduate students.
