LIS Cybersecurity Training: Email phishing campaign next week
Library and Information Services (LIS) will be conducting its second phishing email campaign to faculty and staff next week.
In keeping with the requirements of the Department of Education, the goal of the phishing campaign is to help users better understand the characteristics of a phishing email as well as be more mindful of what links are being clicked and what attachments are being opened. Phishing emails remain the primary attack vector for deploying malicious content and ransomware.
LIS will receive summary-level feedback about the end-user interactions with these emails and will use that information to ensure we are providing cybersecurity training that is in line with the results. We will continue to be completely transparent in future campaigns and remind you that these are for training purposes only. Thanks for your continued vigilance to ensure we are protecting the college’s sensitive data and information.
