NASA Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium hiring two student workers: Applications due TODAY

The Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium (WSGC) is looking for two office interns who can help our team promote aerospace, aviation, space science, and STEM programs throughout Wisconsin, the United States, and Canada. The positions support rocket, high-altitude balloon, unmanned aerial vehicle, CubeSat, and/or microgravity competitions and research. Below are the two job descriptions with responsibilities and other information listed.

WSGC marketing/communication student assistant

Job summary
Provide marketing, communication, and office support to the WSGC assistant director for Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium programs. Up to 10 hours per week. Most work will be done remotely.

Job responsibilities
Assisting with website and social media management, archiving and organizing files, creating and updating documents, entering data, documenting photo/video submissions, supporting project management efforts, and conducting general office duties. Help promote WSGC programs, affiliate projects, and space/aerospace current events.

Needed knowledge, skills, abilities, etc.
Flexibility and adaptability to change; ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently; familiarity with Google Apps, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint); strong oral and written communication skills; and attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Student-workers will need to sign a confidentiality agreement. This position is not eligible for federal work-study.

WSGC First Nations Launch programs student assistant

Job summary
Provide marketing, communication, office, and event support to the WSGC assistant director and project support assistant for First Nations Launch (FNL) programs. Up to 10 hours per week. Most work will be done on campus.

Job responsibilities
Assisting with website and social media management, archiving and organizing files, creating and updating documents, entering data, documenting photo/video submissions, supporting project management efforts, conducting general office duties, and attending launch weekend activities April 21-24, 2022. Help promote FNL programs.

Needed knowledge, skills, abilities, etc.
Flexibility and adaptability to change; ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently; familiarity with Google Apps, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint); strong oral and written communication skills; and attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
