Geospatial science students present at regional conference and on campus

Cal McCormick ’22, Connor Plagge ’21, and Katie Cochran ’22 presented their work, titled “Integrating Remote Sensing and GIS into Higher Level Geoscience Education Using Unmanned Aerial Systems and High Precision GPS,” as research students funded by the Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium (WSGC) at the Midwest Undergraduate Geography Symposium on April 24 and on campus at the Carthage 2021 Celebration of Scholars event on March 26.

Noah Cortez ’21 presented his senior thesis project, titled “Location Analytics and Intelligence to Empower Business,” at the 2021 Celebration of Scholars.

Mallory Jenkins ’21 also presented her story map, titled “Short but Sweet: My Study Abroad in Japan,” at the 2021 Celebration of Scholars. Her story map was a course project from Web/Internet GIS, and it won the first-place 2021 Global Heritage Prize.
