SpaceX, in another First
April 05, 2017
On Thursday, March 30th, 2017, Space X successfully launched a previously used rocket. They not only had a historic first, but also recovered a $6 million nose fairing. The entire rocket is not recovered each time. The components of the first stage are the ones that separate from the top of the rocket and make a controlled decent back to Earth. By reusing these components, SpaceX has proven that parts of a used rocket, like the Falcon 9 can successfully make it to space again.
