Josh Furey

Major: Mechanical Engineering

Josh Furey is a freshman Mechanical Engineering major at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He received a 2016 Undergraduate Scholarship Award for the 2016-17 academic year as a graduating senior from Superior Senior High School and has been selected for this week’s #WSGCStudentSpotlight!

Mr. Furey is an eagle scout and is a part of the Order of the Arrow, the National Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America. Josh enjoys math, science and computer programming. These interests are what lead him to pursue a mechanical engineering degree. He lives with a family of 7 with 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Josh has a love of photography and enjoys taking a wide variety of photos, from graduations to nature and the night sky. Josh had 6 of his photos displayed at the Photographic Society of America National Convention. Some of his other interests include hanging out with friends, making videos, and playing the saxophone. He participated in 6 Wisconsin State Music Association State Competitions.
