FOX “Xploration Outer Space” Video Contest

June 10, 2015

Be an Astronaut with @TheSpaceGal

Have you ever wondered what  it would be like to train as an astronaut?  FOX’s Xploration Outer Space is hosting a video contest for those who are excited about space exploration and science.

The lucky winner will become a scientist-astronaut and be featured in an upcoming episode of the internationally syndicated show and attend the PoSSUM Academy in October at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  Students will experience a High-G aerobatic flight led by Patty Wagstaff, three-time Olympic-level international aerobatic medal winner.

Project PoSSUM is looking for someone who lives and breathes science and who can communicate that passion and excitement to others.  You also must be 16 yrs old by Oct. 1, 2015, enrolled in HS or College/University as an Undergraduate, not claustrophic, and undergo a physical.

Applicants should create a 3-minute (or less) video answering four easy questions.

  • Why do you think space exploration is important and worthwhile?
  • Why are suborbital spacecraft important for research purposes?
  • How do you think going through the PoSSUM Academy will help you in your future pursuits?
  • Why do you think you should be picked to be featured on Xploration Outer Space?

Filming will take place October 13-17th.
