The Front Office seeks to open doors for students who are interested in sports management — creating opportunities for success in the field. It’s open to students in all Carthage majors and minors who bring a passion for sports.

This student-led organization arose from a J-Term study tour where President Hanna Snedecor ’23 and 16 of her peers traveled to Milwaukee, Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Chicago.

In Chicago, they met with key Blackhawks executives, helped run two NHL games, and Hanna tried on three of the Blackhawks’ Stanley Cup championship rings. Members network, building connections with leaders of major professional sports teams such as the Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Wild, and Chicago Bulls that can lead to internships with local sports teams. Many students plan to continue their education through Carthage’s Master of Science in Business — Sports Management track.

Being part of the organization changed Hanna’s entire perspective on what her future could be. “I can have so much fun in my career and love what I do,” she says. “I never knew it was a possibility before.”
