Students on commuter and residential meal plans who have accrued extra meal swipes this semester will be able to use them without the normal restrictions on Friday, Dec. 9, at the following dining locations:

  • Hydn Cheese | 8 p.m.-Midnight
  • Johnny’s Chicken Shack | 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
  • Lentz Do Lunch | 7 a.m-2:30 p.m.
  • Meat on the Street | 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Pacific Harbor | 11 a.m.- 8 p.m.
  • Red Zone | 11 a.m.-Midnight
  • Re.Fuel | 11 a.m.- 7 p.m.

Carthage book and flame symbol Einstein Bros. Bagels and Starbucks do not qualify for this promotion.

Use as many meal equivalency swipes as you like at any point during the day! Look for the Carthage book and flame symbol (shown right) for qualifying meal and retail items.

Donate your unused swipes

Students can also donate unused meal swipes to Parkhurst’s Meal Bank now through Wednesday, Dec. 14. These swipes will be gifted to students facing food insecurity on campus. If you would like to donate, please send an email to dining@carthage.edu to arrange your donation.

J-Term: Meal swipes and Birdie Bucks

Students enrolled in on-campus J-Term courses and student-athletes living on campus in January will continue to have access to their accrued fall semester meal swipes and Birdie Bucks during J-Term.

The College covers the cost of residential student meals during J-Term. Qualifying residential students enrolled in on-campus courses or participating in on-campus athletic activities will receive 14 meal swipes a week (Standard Plan), regardless of their current meal plan, from Monday, Jan. 9 through Sunday, Feb. 5.

All unused or non-donated meal swipes will expire at the end of each semester. Unused Birdie Bucks carry over from fall to J-Term to spring and expire at the end of spring term.
