Students: Register to attend the fair
The Wisconsin Private Colleges Career Consortium’s annual WorkForce career fair will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the Wisconsin State Fair Park Expo Center in West Allis, Wisconsin. Transportation will be provided for students from Carthage to the fair.
What is WorkForce?
WorkForce enables students to network with employers from across the country, as well as connect with peers from Wisconsin’s private and public colleges in one place, at one time, in one day.
What types of organizations and graduate schools typically attend WorkForce?
All kinds! Over 150 organizations attended the fairs in previous years, including Amazon, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Medical College of Wisconsin, and ULINE.
What to bring?
Students returning to campus from winter break should bring a business professional outfit to wear to the fair. Employers appreciate students who dress to impress. Students should also bring a padfolio to hold resumes and business cards.
How to prepare?
Students should drop by The Aspire Center (fourth floor of Lentz Hall) to have their resumes reviewed by a career ambassador, or they can make an appointment with their career specialist. Additionally, multiple “prepare for the fair” programs will be posted on Handshake.
We hope to see students Tuesday, Feb. 21 for this annual event!
