J-Term Blog: Snorkeling in Parque Nacional Marino Ballena
KATIE LAYENDECKER ’25 COSTA RICA J-TERM BLOG #3
Did somebody say beach day? They absolutely did! All of us spent a wonderful sunny day on the beach and swimming in the ocean. We started off in Uvita, which is actually in a national park called Parque Nacional Marino Ballena, where we got to go snorkeling and whale/dolphin watching!
The water was so clear and beautiful!
We also went around the ocean to see some of the natural beauties in the area after the dolphin and whale watching.
There were some amazing sights to see on our boat tour. Costa Rica has a lovely coast that we all had a blast enjoying. We ended our day by spending some time on one of the many beaches there.
The lady who was kind enough to take our photo added a coconut to really spice things up. That’s all for now, thanks for coming on this journey with us!
