J-Term Blog: Fun times in Dresden

Even though it was cold and snowy in Dresden, we had a great time!
This throne room belongs to Augustus the Strong. Everything in this room is made to be pristine and royal so that people would like him better and to make him feel known.
Here we are looking out onto the Elbe River, which flows from Hamburg, Germany, all the way to Czechoslovakia.
During our free time, my group decided to go to the mall, and I had to say hi to my best bud, Stuart Little. Love that guy!
For dinner, we went to this really nice German restaurant and sat next to Professor Greg Baer. I ordered half a pork knuckle with sauerkraut and potato dumplings.
To start our last day in Dresden, we had a tour of Augustus the Strong’s porcelain collection. Everything was so pretty there but very expensive.
A small group of us decided to venture off to the Albertinum to see some artwork. Here we have my famous artist, Vincent Van Gogh, with his painting of pears.
