Prof. Angela Dassow Prof. Angela Dassow Professor Angela Dassow and her research team, Canid Howl Project, published a paper titled “Combining acoustic localisation and high-resolution land cover classification to study predator vocalisation behaviour.”

The focus of this paper was to explore how to use high resolution mapping combined with acoustic localization of canid vocalizations to study habitat preferences for wolf and coyote vocal behavior. Coyotes prefer forested habitats when vocalizing near human occupied areas, but wolves showed no habitat preference.
