Carthage College seeks to hire a faculty colleague in the Computer Science department who is committed to quality CS education and supporting students from underserved groups. The department is focused on the success of our increasingly diverse student population in computer sciences as a discipline, as well as supporting computer and informational science education as part of the college’s strong interdisciplinary environment.

Successful candidates will have experience and enthusiasm for teaching undergraduates, a track record in mentoring research by undergraduates, academic training in Computer Science (at least MS in Computer Science, PhD is preferred) and / or strong industry experience that can contribute to the department’s introductory and upper-level curriculum. Research programs, particularly in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and / or Program Synthesis, that can engage undergraduates are preferred. A demonstrable potential for funded research is strongly preferred.
