Would you like a writing fellow to visit your class? The writing fellows at the Brainard Writing Center are happy to stop by your class and let students know that fellows are available to help them with their assignments.

How to request a visit

If you would like a fellow to drop in during class time to give students a brief overview of the Writing Center and show them how to book an appointment, please complete a web form.

In addition to introductory visits, you can also request the following in-person workshops:

  • APA Formatting
  • Business Stats Case Studies
  • Business Writing vs Story Telling
  • Grammarly
  • Incorporating Quotations
  • MLA Formatting
  • Participating in Peer Review
  • Revising Your Writing
  • Writing about Religious Texts
  • Writing and Supporting a Thesis Statement
  • Writing Textual Analysis Papers

Each workshop takes 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the level of student involvement. Instructors must be present in the room during the workshop.

We also offer several asynchronous virtual workshops via our YouTube channel.
The writing workshops playlist offers several fellow-created videos you can share with your students.
