Anna Hegland Anna Hegland Anna Hegland’s first edited collection, “The Theatrical Legacy of Thomas Middleton, 1624-2024,” will be published in April 2024 by Routledge.

The collection celebrates 400 years of Thomas Middleton’s legacy as a dramatist, from his final work for the commercial stage (1624’s “A Game At Chess”) to the present day. The volume is the first collection of essays devoted to the lasting critical, historical, and performance legacy of Thomas Middleton — sometimes called “our other Shakespeare” — as a dramatist in his own right.

In addition to her work in The Aspire Center, Anna also teaches classes in Intellectual Foundations.
