This competition provided a prompt to competitors for them to write a speech. Students then submit a video of their speech, and, if placed, present their speech in front of all national attendees, including students, PSE corporate sponsors, national award staff, and the national council. The 2024 National Speakers Competition prompt was:

“With a focus on empowerment, inclusion, and celebrating women’s achievements, speakers are asked to inspire positive change for the future by emphasizing the importance of fostering supportive and empowering environments in all aspects of life. Share your insights on the impact of inclusion and the ongoing commitment to building a brighter, more equitable future for all.”

Kylie’s speech focused on her experience as a “woman in business” and why all should question this limiting term. Kylie is the first Alpha Omega member to place and win the competition.
