More than 600 new and impending Carthage graduates took part in Commencement weekend May 26-28.
All Stories

This year’s Commencement is less than one month away! We are so excited to celebrate the achievements, hard work, and journey of the Class of 2024 on May 17-19.

Carthage’s one-of-a-kind Commencement Weekend wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our fellow Carthaginians. You can help support our newest alumni by being there to welcome them and cheer them on at each stage of the Red Carpet Procession. There are a variety of roles and shifts to choose from, and we appreciate any support you are able to offer.

The Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 17 is where graduates will process into the chapel, hear music performances and speeches, and turn their tassels while their degrees are conferred. It will be followed by an afterparty in the Todd Wehr Center!

On Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19, graduates will have their loved ones walk alongside them through the Red Carpet Procession. Carthage started this tradition in 2021, and the tradition has continued to make Commencement more personal and more inclusive to families. It will also create more special moments for graduates to spend with classmates, faculty, family, and friends.

The Red Carpet Processions will begin at the entrance to the H. F. Johnson Center for Fine Arts. Groups will proceed through the Johnson Center, Hedberg Library, and finally end in the A. F. Siebert Chapel with several fun photo ops and interactive stations along the way. Graduates will cross the stage in the chapel to receive their diploma with their guests in the front-row!

Please support the success of this weekend by filling out the Alumni Commencement Volunteer Form.
