Carthage students donated food, clothing, and bedding during move-out week in May.

A car packed with donations for the Hospitality Center of Racine. The items collected by the Center for Faith and Spirituality and Office of Student Life were delivered to the Hospitality Center in Racine, a local nonprofit that feeds over 125 people each day and operates a food pantry and a clothing closet.

Carthage students partnered with the center at other points during the 2023-24 academic year, providing bag lunches, helping with a shoe giveaway event, and serving meals. These service opportunities have been set through the Center for Faith and Spirituality and The Aspire Center.

A car packed with furniture and clothes donations for the Hospitality Center of Racine. Holly Hess, purposeful life and leadership coordinator, served alongside students. “Opportunities to go into our communities and meet the immediate needs of our neighbors helps us see ourselves and our place in the world more clearly,” said Holly. “Sharing our gifts in this way develops a sense of vocation that prepares students to make an impact in the world around them.”
