Over 200 Carthage staff, faculty, alumni, and family members attended the Kenosha Kingfish game on June 27 as they celebrated Carthage Night at Simmons Field.

The Kingfish honored Firebird Athletics accomplishments from this past year along with Coach Augie Schmidt and his 1,000th career win milestone. One of many highlights of Coach Schmidt’s career is the 1999 CCIW Championship team. This year marks the 25th anniversary of that championship, and many Carthage baseball alumni from that era were at the stadium to celebrate.

Carthage Hall of Famer and 1997 Milwaukee Brewers draft pick, Jim Miller ’97, threw out the first pitch.
