How to access OneLogin after getting a new phone
If you get a new phone and no longer have access to the mobile device that you connected to your OneLogin account, please consider the following options:
If you previously set up a second two-factor authentication method in OneLogin:
- Enter your username and password on the log-in screen.
- Choose “Change Authentication Factor” at the bottom of the window.
- Select the authorization factor you want to use. You should then receive a notification or code using that method.
If you didn’t set up a second two-factor authentication method:
- Contact the Information Desk (help@carthage.edu or call 262-551-5950 or come to the Information Desk in the Hedberg Library). Explain that you cannot log into OneLogin because you got a new phone.
- If you submit the request by email from a personal email address, you will be asked to confirm your identity with your student ID number and your date of birth.
- One of the LIS Information Desk staff will reset (delete) your two-factor authentication method.
- Log into OneLogin using your Carthage username and password. You will be prompted to set up your two-factor authentication method again.
We highly recommend that you set up a second two-factor authentication method as soon as you can, as follows:
- In OneLogin, click your name in the upper right-hand corner, then choose “Profile.”
- Click on “Security Factors.”
- Click “Add Factor.”
- Choose your second security factor from the options. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the setup.
- Next to each security factor, you will see three dots. When you click on the dots you may delete a 2FA method or choose which method you want to be the primary method.
