This October, the Byte-Sized Professional Development Series is focusing on LinkedIn. Each of these mini workshops will highlight a specific feature on LinkedIn for about 20 minutes and then will give you 20 minutes to modify your profile accordingly.

LinkedIn can be a powerful tool to begin building your professional network, but there are lots of tips and tricks to make it effective.

Mini workshops will be held at 11:45 a.m. Wednesdays, in Hedberg Library 217A. Weekly topics are as follows:

Profile: Headers and Bios
Wednesday, Oct. 2
The first thing that someone will see on your LinkedIn profile is your header and your ‘About Me’ biography. Come learn some tips to make these stand out to recruiters and then spend some time crafting these aspects of your profiles.

Profile: Experience and Micro-credentials

LinkedIn is a digital resume, but it has the capability to showcase so much more. Come learn how to effectively add your experience to your profile to showcase your unique skills, and then do it and get immediate feedback.
