Carthage students have the opportunity to study abroad in places like Costa Rica.
All Stories

Carthage is dedicated to offering a variety of high-impact practices to our students, and study abroad has the potential to be one of the most transformational of these practices.

To that end and with gratitude for the generosity of alumni and friends of Carthage, the College has focused on providing additional financial support to those students seeking an overseas educational experience. During this application cycle, we had approximately 50 students requesting funding to help offset the cost of their semester or J-Term abroad experiences.

Students who have been selected to receive funding through one of these scholarships have been notified directly by email of their award. If you did not receive an email from Professor Erik Kulke the morning of Sept. 30, you have not been selected during this application cycle.

The next study abroad scholarship application cycle will open in early April for J-Term and in summer 2025 for study abroad experiences.

We would also like to express gratitude to those faculty and staff members who encouraged students to apply, supported their applications with recommendations, or assisted in the review of applications.
