Go pro for your audio editing and recording using Audacity!

Audacity can be used to record professional podcasts and radio broadcasts, lectures, language exercises, garage bands, string quartets, and commercial standard CD mastering. It can also be used for soundtrack manipulation.

The program includes over 40 professional tools allowing users to record, edit, mix, compress, equalize, remove clicks and noise, and sync audio. There are 128 stereo tracks with up to 38k sampling from ordinary computer USB inputs.

Need special coding? How about AIFF, WAV, GSM, FLAC, MP2, MP3, OGG Vorbis, ACC, AC3, AMR, WMA, and FFmpeg?

And since it’s an open source, this freeware program grows better as time goes on. The program works on Window, Mac, and Gnu/Linux.
