Position Summary:

The Associate Registrar works closely with the Registrar of the College to oversee the daily operations and functions of the Registrar’s office. This position is responsible for all senior graduation evaluations, annual college catalog, and coordination of the master course schedule and will report to the Registrar of the college. Strong candidates will possess the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency. Effective communication skills and comfort working with technology are highly recommended for individuals interested in the position.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of degree audits

  • Work independently to communicate graduation eligibility to all senior students

  • Maintain the degree audit (Jenzabar CX/JICS) database to ensure accurate senior evaluations

  • Maintain expert knowledge of institutional policies as they relate to degree completion

  • Work with department and divisional chairs to produce the annual college catalog and class schedule

  • Sit as a member of the Curriculum Planning Committee to communicate new course approvals and coordinate the annual course catalog

  • Oversee all self-design major/minor proposals and associated tables

  • Manage the internal office coordination of course schedule entry

  • Work with the college Registrar on projects as assigned

  • Assist with the planning, development, goal setting, and assessment of Registrar initiatives

  • Provide office leadership and excellent customer service to all members of the Carthage community

Qualifications:
Bachelor degree required, Master degree preferred. At least five years of experience in higher education with some supervisory role. Proficiency in student information systems (Jenzabar CX) and report writing tools (Cognos) are beneficial.
